A VIPRS® Product Recovery System was installed for Coca-Cola Tapperierne A/S, Denmark in March 1999 by SCANDINOX A/S, Inline Services Inc. European Distributor.

The project included mechanical connection of a "new postmix line" (incl. control system) to existing matrix by the syrup tanks, postmix tanks and piping to the CIP plant.

 

Description:

The system installed by SCANDINOX A/S was a 2 wiper VIPRS® System, the propellant being clean water.

The cycle will be the following: Wiper 1 replaces the clean water by product, Wiper 2 replaces the product by clean water, Wiper 2 is returned to the launch station, CIP cleaning is made, and Wiper 1 is returned to the launch station.

The length of the "new postmix line" is approx. 225 meters and contains as such approx. 635 ltrs. product.

Inline's Wipers have a unique and virtually total seal, creating maximum scraping effect -we estimate that inside the product pipe for each batch there will only be a waste of product of approx. 6,35 ltrs. To this should be added the volume located in the matrix and other external pipe lengths. In this case the waste was max. 10 ltrs, i.e. 16,35 ltrs. waste of product. The waste of product before was approx. 60 ltrs for each product evacuation.

The saving is considerable, for which reason the demand for VIPRS® Systems is increasing considerably. Customers having long lengths of pipes, expensive products and frequent batches anticipate great many advantages by such an investment.
