Operating Procedure

Launching

The lauching valve is installed in the flow line with the body facing vertically upward or horizontal.

• Close ball as shown. Open body cavity. Vent/Bleeder valve
• Remove body plug. Load pig
• Replace body plug

• Open ball as shown
• Pig is launched

Receiving

The receiving valve installed in the flow line with the body plug facing vertically downward. Horizontal or vertically upward.

• Pig received. Pig stop in seat. Catches pig
• Close ball as shown
• Open body cavity vent/bleeder valve

• Remove body plug and pig. Close valve cavity. Vent/Bleeder valve
• Replace body plug. Open ball as shown. Valve is ready to receive next pig
